The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will contribute to the production process by developing and updating work instructions to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient manufacturing. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and hands-on design work to support production needs.
What you'll do#
- Develop and update production work instructions using a standard format.
- Manage the approval process for work instructions and upload them to the company Intranet.
- Design tools, fixtures, and racks for holding components during electroplating, NLN, or PVD processes.
- Participate in team-based process improvement activities, including 5S, kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Update documentation based on engineering changes or process modifications.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering student.
- Intermediate math skills and proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills in English; verbal proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Experience working with CREO is considered an asset.
- Ability to work legally in the United States without sponsorship.
