The Student Experience Manager supports the strategic direction, management, and enhancement of student outcomes, experience, and academic rigor. This role leads the student experience team, oversees holistic support services, and manages a diverse group of student volunteers to ensure student success and retention.
What you'll do#
- Lead the development and delivery of holistic, theory-informed student programming across the student lifecycle, including orientation, graduation, and peer initiatives.
- Provide strategic direction for advising, referral, and advocacy services to support student wellbeing and retention.
- Oversee staff development and manage the student experience budget to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Design targeted programming for high-achieving and at-risk students, as well as initiatives focused on diversity and community engagement.
- Contribute to strategic enrolment management and oversee academic integrity and student conduct processes.
- Engage with industry best practices in student experience, advising, and development to drive continuous improvement.
What you'll need#
- A degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, or Business Administration, from a recognized university.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, promote, implement, and evaluate student service programs.
- Proven leadership and coordination skills, including experience in staff supervision and managing a busy office.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills for reporting and data analysis.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining high-level interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Sound knowledge of equal opportunity, equity, and workplace health and safety principles.
- Legal right to work in Canada.
- Experience in higher education, multicultural environments, or managing volunteers is considered an asset.
