    About the role#

    The Law Clerk Intern position is part of the Leaders of Tomorrow Summer Internship Program. This role offers exposure to the field of insurance regulation through a hybrid work arrangement.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist attorneys with general legal research, including state and federal statutes, pending legislation, administrative regulations, regulatory guidance, NAIC proceedings, and case law.
    • Track state legislation and update 50-state charts for publication.
    • Draft legal memoranda, legislative summaries, and other legal work products.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in law school pursuing a JD.
    • Interest in a career in insurance regulation.
    • Open to 1Ls, 2Ls, and 3Ls.
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
    • Term: Summer 2026 (June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026).
    • Schedule: Hybrid, up to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
    • Compensation: $24 per hour.
    • Benefits: Health insurance, parking, employee assistance programs, and wellness events.
