Narrative Strategies is seeking a paid intern for the Fall 2026 term to work from our Washington, DC office. This role offers hands-on experience in communications, media relations, marketing, digital advocacy, and thought leadership. Interns work across a wide variety of issue areas, including healthcare, technology, financial services, and energy. You will be expected to contribute diverse perspectives and challenge assumptions while gaining exposure to professional client service.
What you'll do#
- Compile press clips and build press lists.
- Pitch reporters and producers and assist with press events.
- Draft press releases, talking points, and memos.
- Conduct research and support day-to-day office operations.
What you'll need#
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines.
- A strong desire to learn and provide high-level client service.
- A general understanding of and interest in traditional communications and public relations.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, open-sourced CMS systems, Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva is considered a plus.
- Relevant academic background in Communications, Public Health, Journalism, Political Science, or Marketing.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, DC (On-site).
- Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Availability: Part-time and full-time applicants will be considered, with preference given to those with full-time availability.
