Intern

About the role#

MW Components is seeking an intern to support engineering and manufacturing operations. This full-time, paid position involves working on-site to assist with project documentation, equipment maintenance, and data validation. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

What you'll do#

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean projects.
• Conduct time studies and perform data analysis.
• Run tests and validate checks on equipment, software, and data.
• Handle administrative duties, including data entry and project documentation.
• Maintain, clean, and move equipment and supplies as needed.
• Assist with various engineering and manufacturing tasks as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related degree program.
• Knowledge of metal working and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and test procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and an analytical mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD is preferred.
• Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
