About the role#
MW Components is seeking an intern to support engineering and manufacturing operations. This full-time, paid position involves working on-site to assist with project documentation, equipment maintenance, and data validation. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
What you'll do#
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean projects.
- Conduct time studies and perform data analysis.
- Run tests and validate checks on equipment, software, and data.
- Handle administrative duties, including data entry and project documentation.
- Maintain, clean, and move equipment and supplies as needed.
- Assist with various engineering and manufacturing tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related degree program.
- Knowledge of metal working and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and test procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and an analytical mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD is preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
