IT Intern

About the role#

The IT Intern provides frontline technical support to staff, assisting with hardware, software, network, and communication technology issues. This temporary, full-time position offers hands-on experience in troubleshooting, user support, and IT system administration while working under the guidance of the IT Manager.

What you'll do#

• Provide technical support for computer hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist with software installation, hardware setup, and device configuration.
• Respond to and document support requests through the IT ticketing system.
• Maintain accurate service desk records and assist with IT projects, including user account administration.
• Assist with audio/video equipment setup and troubleshooting.
• Escalate complex technical issues as needed.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or recent completion of a program in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and computer hardware.
• Familiarity with networking, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and move office equipment such as monitors, desktops, and printers.
• Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check.
• Knowledge of Musqueam and First Nations history, culture, and Aboriginal title and rights is considered an asset.

• Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Term: Up to 8 weeks (rolling).
• Compensation: Paid.
