The IT Intern provides frontline technical support to staff, assisting with hardware, software, network, and communication technology issues. This temporary, full-time position offers hands-on experience in troubleshooting, user support, and IT system administration while working under the guidance of the IT Manager.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support for computer hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with software installation, hardware setup, and device configuration.
- Respond to and document support requests through the IT ticketing system.
- Maintain accurate service desk records and assist with IT projects, including user account administration.
- Assist with audio/video equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Escalate complex technical issues as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a program in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and computer hardware.
- Familiarity with networking, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move office equipment such as monitors, desktops, and printers.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check.
- Knowledge of Musqueam and First Nations history, culture, and Aboriginal title and rights is considered an asset.

- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Up to 8 weeks (rolling).
- Compensation: Paid.
