About the role#
The IT Intern reports to the IT Manager and provides frontline technical support to staff. This temporary full-time position lasts for up to 8 weeks and offers hands-on experience in troubleshooting, user support, and IT system administration.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support for computer hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with software installation, hardware setup, and device configuration.
- Respond to and document support requests through the IT ticketing system.
- Escalate complex technical issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate service desk records and assist with IT projects, including user account administration.
- Assist with audio and video equipment setup and troubleshooting.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a program in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a related field is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and computer hardware.
- Familiarity with networking, printers, scanners, and mobile devices is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move equipment such as monitors, desktops, and printers.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check.
