Munich Airport NJ LLC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 semester at Newark Liberty International Airport’s Terminal A. This role focuses on supporting asset management programs, improving maintenance reliability, and utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Interns will work alongside professionals to apply engineering principles to critical terminal infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and optimization of preventive maintenance programs, task plans, and schedules.
- Assist in creating and improving standard operating procedures and maintenance documentation.
- Analyze maintenance routes and workflows to improve technician productivity and reduce travel time.
- Identify gaps in maintenance effectiveness and recommend data-driven improvements based on failure trends and operational priorities.
- Contribute to predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies using performance indicators and equipment data.
- Support data standardization and enhance the use of information from CMMS, HMI, and SCADA systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation between December 2027 and July 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.2 or higher is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a professional environment through internships, research, or student leadership.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without the need for sponsorship.
