MSVotes is seeking interns for the Fall 2026 term to support field operations and social justice initiatives. This role is designed for students to gain experience in grassroots organizing, communications, and data management while working directly with organizational leadership. The internship involves a mix of clerical tasks, special projects, and mandatory leadership development training. Interns will participate in reading circles and may contribute written pieces for public platforms.
What you'll do#
- Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide general information.
- Perform clerical duties including taking memos, maintaining files, and organizing documents.
- Manage databases and input information, data, and records.
- Plan and manage a minimum of four voter registration events.
- Coordinate and assist with special projects, such as staffing the voter information hotline and conducting text or phone banking.
- Attend mandatory political education trainings and organization functions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time undergraduate (excluding seniors) or graduate student.
- Academic background in Political Science, Communications, Sociology, History, Psychology, Public Health, Business Administration, or Human Resources.
- Ability to commit to at least 10 hours per week.
- Reliable transportation.
- Self-motivated and self-starter approach to work.
- Ability to work collaboratively and attend an in-person orientation.

- Compensation: $15.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
