Student Storeroom Worker

About the role#

As a Student Storeroom Worker, you will report to the Food Service Purchaser to manage the receipt, care, and delivery of supplies. This position operates in a kitchen and storeroom environment, requiring the use of standard equipment such as carts, pallet jacks, and computers.

What you'll do#

• Check in incoming orders and place stock into inventory.
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of storerooms, coolers, and freezers according to food service standards.
• Apply the first-in, first-out (FIFO) principle to all stock and ensure items are properly dated.
• Organize stock daily within storage areas.
• Complete requisitions and deliver supplies to specified locations.

What you'll need#

• Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Preferred: Prior food service experience.
• Recommended majors: Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Nutrition.
