About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support the high-speed detector product marketing team at MKS Inc. You will work under the guidance of the Senior Product Marketing Manager to assist with daily marketing operations, competitive analysis, and internal process improvements. This is a part-time, 6-month assignment beginning in August or September 2026.
What you'll do#
- Research and collect data on market developments and technical advancements regarding VCSELs and ethernet transceivers.
- Gather competitive product information to assist in the development of marketing and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to support revenue growth and process optimization.
- Assist in the creation of product training materials for sales staff.
- Update and improve product web page content and marketing collateral.
- Support daily operational activities as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, material sciences, or a related field.
- Technical or scientific knowledge acquired through academic coursework.
- Strong organizational skills to plan, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks.
- Clear communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- An open-minded approach to learning a variety of technical and business tasks.
- Data analysis proficiency, preferably using Excel.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and computer programming is preferred.
