Underwriting Intern (Fall)

About the role#

The Underwriting Intern will work alongside the Lynx Specialty team to provide support and assistance to the underwriting department. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in property insurance through training and project participation.

What you'll do#

• Receive training to assist in the underwriting of property insurance.
• Review and analyze reports to make informed underwriting recommendations.
• Support underwriters with coordinating and processing policies.
• Participate on special projects as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar field.
• Junior or Senior standing (two years of course work completed) is preferred.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective research, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Location: Cincinnati, Ohio. This is an on-site position; candidates must reside in the area or be willing to relocate.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Type: Full-time, paid internship.
