The Transformation and Re-entry Through Education and Community (TREC) Program at Minneapolis College is seeking two part-time Student Worker Paraprofessionals. This role provides individual and group support to justice-impacted students to improve performance, retention, and course success.
What you'll do#
- Assist students in navigating and connecting with resources for housing, employment, food, and transportation.
- Collaborate with the TREC team to lead success workshops.
- Provide expertise for non-course content assistance, including D2L support.
- Support individual and group initiatives for justice-impacted students.
- Ensure students follow proper procedures for the usage of equipment and materials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary or graduate program.
- Demonstrated ongoing understanding of cultural fluency and culturally responsive practices.
- Basic understanding of course goals and outcomes.
- Working knowledge of D2L, long-distance learning, and basic office software.
- Commitment to engaging in antiracism professional development.
Location & details#
- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (up to 29 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid position.
