Actuarial Intern

About the role#

The Philadelphia Health Practice of Milliman is seeking an intern for a full-time actuarial internship during the Summer of 2027. This position provides an opportunity to gain experience in actuarial analysis within the health field by supporting Analysts and Consultants with project deliverables.

What you'll do#

• Assist Analysts and Consultants in the development, checking, and utilization of actuarial models.
• Conduct database analysis and create spreadsheets.
• Draft correspondence related to project work.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Data Science, with an expected graduation date after May 2027.
• A minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Successful completion of one or more Society of Actuaries exams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with additional programming knowledge in SAS, SQL, VBA, Python, or R considered a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future immigration sponsorship.

Location & details#

• This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be located in the United States, with a preference for those in the EST time zone.
• The role is paid and full-time.
