About the role#
This co-op position is designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and practical application in a business and manufacturing environment. You will gain hands-on experience in analyzing, designing, programming, configuring, and testing software programs and business applications while working alongside Scrum teams.
What you'll do#
- Build, support, and maintain new and existing IT software applications.
- Create and update user stories to support software design concepts.
- Develop APIs for data exchange and build automated infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Create continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate code deployments.
- Write automated test scripts to demonstrate software quality.
- Participate in product evaluations and scrum sprint reviews to understand customer needs.
- Deliver formal presentations and reports on your work to facilitate collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year accredited degree program, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Working knowledge of one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or .Net.
- Experience with data storage and query services, including SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Mongo DB, NoSQL, or Cosmos DB.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, test automation frameworks, and DevOps concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred: Experience with API development and JSON; familiarity with Azure services, secure coding practices, or infrastructure as code.
