IT Software Development Co-op - Summer 2026

About the role#

This co-op position is designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and practical application in a business and manufacturing environment. You will gain hands-on experience in analyzing, designing, programming, configuring, and testing software programs and business applications while working alongside Scrum teams.

What you'll do#

• Build, support, and maintain new and existing IT software applications.
• Create and update user stories to support software design concepts.
• Develop APIs for data exchange and build automated infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Create continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate code deployments.
• Write automated test scripts to demonstrate software quality.
• Participate in product evaluations and scrum sprint reviews to understand customer needs.
• Deliver formal presentations and reports on your work to facilitate collaboration.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a 4-year accredited degree program, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Working knowledge of one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or .Net.
• Experience with data storage and query services, including SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Mongo DB, NoSQL, or Cosmos DB.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, test automation frameworks, and DevOps concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred: Experience with API development and JSON; familiarity with Azure services, secure coding practices, or infrastructure as code.
