Part-Time Teller, Student Position

About the role#

This is a part-time, year-round student Teller position based at the Kingston branch. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in school who wish to gain professional experience while continuing their education.

What you'll do#

• Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cashing checks.
• Maintain accurate balancing records of 90% or better and follow fraud prevention and regulatory procedures.
• Assist with daily vault and branch reconciliation, including counting cash shipments and end-of-night balancing.
• Perform routine member service tasks such as resetting passwords, issuing debit cards, and updating account information.
• Promote and cross-sell credit union products and services to meet individual and branch goals.
• Greet members in a courteous, professional manner and resolve inquiries promptly.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in school.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Proficiency in managing multiple workloads and working independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform sedentary work involving computer use for 6-8 hours daily.
