Civil / Geotechnical Engineering Intern (Menard USA)

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship focused on the design-build construction process. Interns gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, ranging from initial bid development to final project execution within the geotechnical construction industry.

What you'll do#

• Participate in the company safety culture by identifying potential hazards and maintaining a commitment to safe work practices.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and geotechnical reports.
• Prepare budgets and proposals under the guidance of the estimating team.
• Manage project submittals and develop necessary documentation.
• Perform onsite QA/QC work during project execution.
• Coordinate with operations and design teams regarding production and quality requirements.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Ability to interpret technical reports and construction drawings.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration.
• A proactive approach to site safety and quality control.
