Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern at Meijer, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This is a full-time, paid position that provides exposure to clinical services, prescription processing, and inventory management. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support patient care and pharmacy operations.

What you'll do#

• Provide customer service by assisting patients with product selection and responding to inquiries in person and over the phone.
• Process and fill prescriptions, including data entry, third-party adjudication, and labeling.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including product ordering, checking in orders, and processing transfers or salvage.
• Deliver clinical services, including health screenings and immunizations, following appropriate training and authorization.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their medication needs and pharmacy services.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school.
• A valid Pharmacy Intern License for the state of Indiana.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with a focus on patient confidentiality.
• Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations and understand medical terminology.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to professional service.
