About the role#
This is a full-time student placement for the Fall 2026 term, running from September 15 to December 15. As a member of the Automation team, you will gain hands-on experience supporting test automation and software quality activities. You will work alongside experienced professionals on real projects to support the delivery of reliable and high-quality software.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the development, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts.
- Validate application functionality and identify defects.
- Contribute to team efforts to improve test coverage.
- Gain exposure to automation frameworks, API testing, and software delivery practices.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to support quality initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, Information Systems, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
- Foundational technical knowledge in Git/GitLab, SQL basics, and API testing with Postman.
- Programming aptitude and an interest in learning test automation tools such as WebdriverIO.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- A growth mindset and openness to learning new tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time student position.
- The role offers both remote and on-site work options.
- Locations include New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and Ontario.
