Ultrasound Technologist Extern - Ultrasonography (Paid Position)

About the role#

This is a paid Ultrasound Technologist Extern position within the Ultrasonography Department. This role offers progressive training designed to help students become proficient in performing adult and pediatric exams independently. You will work alongside the technical director, physicians, and other staff to support patient care and department operations.

What you'll do#

• Prepare rooms for adult and pediatric ultrasound scanning.
• Support sonographers and physicians during invasive procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of reports and general clinical workflow.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients, their families, visitors, and staff members.
• Complete additional duties and assignments as directed by leadership.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an ultrasound school with completion of the junior year.
• Active participation in a clinical rotation.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
