Drafting Intern

About the role#

The Drafting Intern program provides practical experience for students or recent graduates interested in the industrial construction industry, specifically within hydrocarbon and power markets. This full-time, 12-week internship is designed to help develop skills through hands-on work with the in-house drafting and design team.

What you'll do#

• Provide basic drafting support, including running programs, performing design calculations, and completing standard drawings.
• Assist the drafting staff with daily assignments and projects.
• Produce new drawings and perform basic layouts.
• Correct existing drawings based on check prints.
• Participate in training and research solutions for assigned tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Computer Aided Design or Drafting, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• A GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD, CAD Worx, or Inventor is preferred.
• Knowledge of ANSI drawing standards, detailed equipment design, and basic trigonometry is a plus.
