Human Resources Intern

About the role#

The Human Resources Intern will support the HR Director and the broader HR team in managing core human resource processes across all business locations. This role provides hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, and administrative operations within a healthcare setting. This is an unpaid, temporary internship requiring approximately 20 hours per week.

What you'll do#

• Write and post job advertisements and monitor job boards to attract qualified talent.
• Screen applications, conduct phone prescreens, and schedule interviews for hiring managers.
• Perform reference checks, employment verification, and background screenings.
• Assist with preboarding and onboarding tasks, including preparing employee files and facilitating new hire orientation.
• Coordinate staff training, learning, and professional development events.
• Maintain and update HR documentation, including policies, handbooks, standard operating procedures, and checklists.
• Develop and implement recruitment sourcing strategies and foster relationships with educational institutions.
• Provide general administrative support, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and special projects.

What you'll need#

• An Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Current enrollment in or background related to Business Administration, Human Resources, Health Administration, or Psychology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, friendly, and resilient demeanor.
• Ability to create and execute effective recruitment sourcing strategies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week during business hours, with flexibility based on mutual availability.
