Capital Planning Data Assistant (Co-op)

About the role#

The Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) is offering a full-time Capital Planning Data Assistant Co-op position. This role supports Project Managers and Architects working on public school construction projects across Massachusetts. You will gain exposure to feasibility analyses, preliminary design evaluations, and the designer selection process, while participating in internal training sessions with organizational leadership.

What you'll do#

• Perform data analysis and support technical reviews for construction projects.
• Develop and maintain data tools for information gathering.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Analyze databases related to construction cost estimates, cost-tracking, and project status.
• Assist with policy-making data and potentially participate in site visits.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or recent graduation from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Statistics, or Civil Engineering.
• A minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Prior internship experience in a data or analysis-based discipline.
• Working knowledge of Tableau, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
