    About the role#

    Mangrove Lithium is seeking a Technology Development Co-op Student to join the R&D department. This position offers undergraduate students hands-on experience in an industrial research environment, focusing on the development and characterization of electrochemical systems and materials. You will work alongside scientists and engineers to support the advancement of clean energy technologies.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with the preparation, assembly, and testing of bench-scale electrochemical cells and related systems.
    • Prepare laboratory solutions, samples, and reagents following established protocols.
    • Support electrochemical testing, materials characterization, and analytical experiments.
    • Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data using laboratory software and spreadsheets.
    • Document testing procedures and prepare technical summaries, reports, and presentations of results.
    • Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
    • Maintain laboratory supplies and inventory while ensuring a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
    • Collaborate with the team on technology development projects and participate in technical meetings.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
    • Strong interest in electrochemical systems, batteries, and clean energy technologies.
    • Experience working in undergraduate teaching or research laboratories.
    • Familiarity with standard laboratory practices and safe chemical handling procedures.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

    • Location: Delta, British Columbia, Canada.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Employment Type: Full-time Co-op.
    • Term: Rolling availability (4–12 month term).
    • Compensation: $24/hr.
