Community Partnerships Intern

About the role#

Make-A-Wish Canada is seeking a Community Partnerships Intern to join the Newfoundland & Labrador team. This full-time summer position offers hands-on experience in fundraising, mission support, and office administration. You will work under the direction of the Director of Community Partnerships to assist with outreach, research, and event management.

What you'll do#

• Provide event management support for signature and community fundraising events.
• Develop outreach communications and collateral for donors, corporate sponsors, and volunteers.
• Conduct prospect research to identify new corporate partnership opportunities.
• Collaborate with the team to develop customized stewardship touchpoints.
• Prepare wish boxes for delivery to wish kids and their families.
• Assist with wish presentations and provide general office administrative support, including inventory management.
• Act as an ambassador for the Foundation when communicating with stakeholders.

What you'll need#

• Current student or recent graduate in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, or Sociology.
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Must be between 18 and 30 years of age and a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee to be eligible for Canada Summer Jobs funding.
• Some related experience is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with team members and wish families.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.

• Location: St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Modality: Hybrid (2 days in-office, 3 days remote).
• Status: Full-time (35 hours per week).
• Compensation: $16.35 per hour.
