Summer Intern-Process Documentation & Helpdesk Support

About the role#

The Summer Intern for Process Documentation & Helpdesk Support assists with the creation and maintenance of internal processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, this role bridges the gap between technical documentation and day-to-day operations by providing light helpdesk support and ensuring information accuracy across the organization.

What you'll do#

• Document internal processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
• Organize and update existing documentation to maintain clarity, consistency, and usability.
• Provide light helpdesk support, including basic troubleshooting and end-user assistance.
• Collaborate with team members to gather information and validate the accuracy of process steps.
• Manage ticket documentation and follow-through according to IT service desk practices.
• Contribute to special projects and perform related duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in Information Technology, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Strong written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, ask thoughtful questions, and seek clarification when necessary.
• Basic familiarity with computers and common productivity tools like email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• A strong customer service mindset and professional approach when supporting end users.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Ability to occasionally lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as laptops and peripherals, up to 25 pounds.
