Foreign Trade Intern

About the role#

The Foreign Trade Intern will work with the Foreign Trade and Customs team to support daily import operations, compliance activities, and administrative tasks. This role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and customs brokers to ensure accurate trade operations.

What you'll do#

• Support import and customs operations by coordinating with customs brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Review and process import documentation to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Perform data entry and maintain trade-related records with high accuracy.
• Analyze existing procedures and support process improvement initiatives.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with North American trade regulations and IMMEX/Maquiladora program requirements.
• Collaborate with the Team Lead on special projects and administrative tasks.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, Foreign Trade, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of international trade, import/export processes, and customs operations.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with large volumes of data.
• Knowledge of North American trade practices and Mexico’s IMMEX/Maquiladora program is preferred.
