About the role#
The Human Resources Intern provides practical experience for students pursuing a degree or career in Human Resources. This role supports the HR office through clerical tasks, administrative projects, and customer service. This is a part-time, unpaid internship requiring up to 15 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic office and clerical work to support the Human Resources department.
- Assist with filing, database management, and general office support services.
- Support HR projects, including recruitment, benefits, and employment-related reporting.
- Provide service by accurately answering calls and emails from internal and external customers.
- Work independently and efficiently using available resources to meet deadlines.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a college or university.
- Completion of at least two college-level courses in Human Resources or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage professional tasks.

- Requirements: Candidates must pass a physical examination, TB clearance, drug screen, and background checks, including those required for work in licensed childcare facilities. A valid California Driver’s License and a personal, insured vehicle are required.
