Intern - Commercial Legal

About the role#

Lyten is seeking a Commercial Legal Intern to support the legal team with commercial contracting and contract management activities. This role is designed to improve contract turnaround time, standardization, and overall legal operational efficiency. The internship duration is up to 12 weeks and includes a capstone project focused on commercial contract process improvement and clause standardization.

What you'll do#

• Assist with reviewing and summarizing NDAs, vendor agreements, service agreements, and other commercial contracts.
• Maintain contract trackers to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Support the development and updating of the clause library and contract templates.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal research memoranda.
• Assist with procurement-related legal requests.
• Deliver a final capstone presentation regarding process improvements.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd-year law student.
• Ability to lift 20-30 lbs.
• Ability to stand for up to 5 hours.

• Location: San Jose, California.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Compensation: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour, plus eligibility for tier-based bonus, equity, and benefits including healthcare, dental, vision, 401K, and PTO.
