About the role#
LSG is seeking a Research & Insights intern to join the strategic insights practice. This role focuses on qualitative and quantitative research, including public opinion research, message testing, campaign tracking, and corporate reputation management. The program offers hands-on experience for students and recent graduates interested in the intersection of research, messaging, and language.
What you'll do#
- Learn and understand complex corporate and public policy issues for a variety of clients, including Fortune 100 companies and trade associations.
- Contribute to qualitative research by proofreading and editing materials, attending focus groups, and providing detailed feedback.
- Assist on quantitative projects by proofreading surveys, analyzing data, identifying insights, and collaborating on PowerPoint presentations.
- Conduct in-depth research on clients, competitors, and relevant policy areas.
- Write, edit, and proofread client-facing materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Conduct background research for new business opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current college junior or senior, recent graduate, or graduate student with an interest in political science, marketing, public health, business administration, or data science.
- Strong research, analytics, writing, and editing skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Docs.
- Ability to multitask and manage work across multiple client accounts.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an efficient manner.
- Capability to adapt communication styles to different cultural environments and incorporate diverse perspectives.
- Willingness to take initiative and work as a team player.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, DC (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31 to December 11).
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Up to 30 hours per week.
