Leland is seeking a Recruiting Intern to support the Head of People during a period of active growth. This role offers direct exposure to the leadership team and provides insight into the hiring processes of a growth-stage startup. You will focus on building talent pools, managing the intern recruiting lifecycle, and contributing to People Operations projects.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain talent pools to support active searches across the business.
- Own the intern recruiting process end-to-end, including sourcing, screening, and managing the candidate experience.
- Act as a talent scout for your university, building a network of students and connecting them to opportunities at Leland.
- Represent the company on campus to build an early-career pipeline.
- Learn and utilize recruiting and HR systems such as Ashby, Gusto, and Slack.
- Use AI tools like Claude and n8n to automate tasks and improve workflows.
- Assist with office management, event planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Natural communication skills with experience in sales, persuasion, and executive presence.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
- Experience in recruiting, sales, or other customer-facing positions is preferred.
- Proficiency in using AI tools to automate repeatable work.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
Location & details#
- Location: Lehi, Utah (On-site).
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week during summer; 20+ hours/week during fall/spring semesters).
- Compensation: Paid internship.
