Intern - Technical Implementation Engineer

About the role#

Landis+Gyr is seeking a Technical Implementation Engineer Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, on-site role provides an opportunity to work with the Technical Implementation Engineering team on daily operations, including Product Configuration Approvals (PCA), internal application design, and team process improvement projects. You will gain hands-on experience with industry-specific software, conduct testing, and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world grid technology challenges.

What you'll do#

• Assist with the design, development, and testing of engineering projects.
• Support senior engineers with data analysis, software development, or equipment setup.
• Familiarize yourself with company tools, technologies, and internal processes.
• Contribute to ongoing projects under the guidance of a mentor.
• Research concepts through technical documentation and case studies to develop solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to gather insights and validate ideas through simulations or experiments.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as an undergraduate student in your Sophomore or Junior year.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Note: Graduates and Master's level students are not eligible for this position.
