Kodak Alaris is seeking an Automation/Robotic Engineer Intern to join the manufacturing team at our Windsor, Colorado facility. This part-time internship (10-20 hours per week) provides hands-on experience in a thermal media manufacturing environment. You will work alongside senior engineers and technicians to modernize technology and improve equipment performance while balancing your academic schedule.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the development and implementation of robotic operations within manufacturing processes.
- Assist with the electrical and mechanical design and support of new and existing manufacturing equipment.
- Support process quality monitoring projects across various equipment lines.
- Improve existing processes and equipment to enhance quality output and increase throughput.
- Review and update technical documentation to ensure accuracy, relevance, and compliance with current standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics engineering (or a related field) with at least one year of study completed.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, including the ability to use test equipment and troubleshoot issues.
- Strong documentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to present work, accept constructive feedback, and conduct independent research.
- Preferred experience includes Solidworks or other CAD software, Solidworks Electrical, Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation PLCs, robotics programming, and programming languages such as Visual Basic or C++.
