Research and Development Intern

About the role#

Keystone Industries is seeking a Research and Development Intern to gain hands-on experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing laboratory. This role involves working under the guidance of senior laboratory staff to support formulation development and facility maintenance. The position is paid, and the schedule is determined based on mutual availability and company needs.

What you'll do#

• Compound and blend materials to create formulations under senior staff guidance.
• Operate laboratory analytical and mixing equipment.
• Perform testing according to established guidelines.
• Create, maintain, and organize electronic documentation.
• Work safely with hazardous chemicals and waste.
• Participate in the general upkeep of the QC/R&D laboratory facility.
• Complete special assignments and prepare project summaries or reports as required.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a 4-year college degree in a technical field, such as Chemistry or Biology.
• 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong mathematical skills, specifically regarding unit conversion, ratios, and percentages.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Compensation: $18.00 – $21.00 hourly, paid weekly.
