Video Production intern

About the role#

The Video Production intern will assist the Kentucky Farm Bureau Studios team with both field and studio productions. This role supports the creation of training, internal, and external marketing videos. The position requires 15–20 hours per week of on-site work at the KFB State Office in Louisville, Kentucky, from August 2026 to December 2026.

What you'll do#

• Create video content that supports organizational initiatives and brand reputation.
• Assist with studio setup and the execution of news conferences.
• Complete editing assignments for both studio and field production work.
• Maintain field production equipment and organize the video server by logging footage and entering metadata.
• Follow the department’s prescribed content review process to ensure all videos are approved prior to distribution.
• Travel across the state with the production crew, which may include irregular hours and overnight stays.

What you'll need#

• A high school diploma and current enrollment in college courses, preferably in Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.
• Proven skills with computers and video editing software, specifically Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Fundamental knowledge of field production, camera operation, lighting, and audio recording.
• Exceptional people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, business users, and executive management.
• A self-motivated approach, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift and carry video equipment, stand for extended periods, and perform work in various indoor and outdoor environments.

• Location: Louisville, Kentucky (On-site).
• Term: Fall 2026 (August – December).
• Compensation: Paid position ($15.00 per hour).
