Estimating Co-Op - Fall 2026

About the role#

As an Estimating Co-Op for Fall 2026, you will gain hands-on experience in the preconstruction and bidding processes that support infrastructure and heavy civil projects. This role focuses on developing analytical and technical skills by assisting the estimating team with project documentation and data analysis.

What you'll do#

• Assist in preparing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from plans and specifications.
• Support estimators in compiling bid packages and managing project documentation.
• Track subcontractor and supplier quotes and assist with bid solicitations.
• Organize and maintain digital and physical bid files.
• Use estimating software and tools for plan review and data entry.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, job site visits, and proposal development.
• Collaborate with the estimating team and other departments for cross-functional learning.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering program.
• Strong math and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of reading construction drawings and project specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to team goals.
