Intern, Tax

About the role#

This is a seasonal, full-time internship for the Fall 2026 term (September to December). Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, you will support the tax team with compliance, financial data preparation, and technology-driven process improvements. This position is paid and open to students pursuing degrees in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or Data Science.

What you'll do#

• Assist with Canadian tax filings, including corporate and excise tax returns.
• Prepare responses to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Support pre-tax season preparation by gathering and reviewing financial information and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Participate in technology-improvement initiatives, such as identifying manual processes for automation.
• Develop tools, templates, dashboards, and macros to support tax operations and enhance existing systems.

What you'll need#

• Experience with building databases, data manipulation, and computer programming.
• Proficiency with data tools such as Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate.
• Extensive experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• A strong interest in technology, automation, and process improvement.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

• Work Modality: Hybrid (office-first approach).
