The Student Leadership Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing student leadership programs. You will work closely with management to establish a high-functioning program, organize the Student Government Association (SGA), and promote student activities both on-site and in the community. This role involves participating in center management teams and ensuring all activities align with organizational and departmental policies.
What you'll do#
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate leadership development training for students.
- Provide oversight for the Student Government Association, including weekly meetings, activities, and committee coordination.
- Track and report on participation, progress, and outcomes of all leadership programs.
- Integrate leadership opportunities across various center departments.
- Organize student-led events and community service projects.
- Promote the eight Career Success Standards through modeling, mentoring, and monitoring.
- Provide initial leadership training during the Career Preparation Period.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma is required; an Associate degree or higher is preferred.
- One to two years of related experience in education.
- At least one year of experience working with youth.
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
- Relevant majors include Psychology, Political Science, Communications, Business Administration, Human Resources, or Sociology.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
