About the role#
This internship provides exposure to core HR functions and is designed to build foundational professional competencies. The role serves as a developmental track to prepare interns for increasing responsibility within the Human Resources department.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate candidate interviews, pre-employment requirements, and travel arrangements.
- Maintain applicant tracking software and assist with job postings.
- Prepare offer letters and candidate correspondence.
- Support HR team members with HRIS data entry, system audits, and organizational chart maintenance.
- Assist with compensation data gathering, market surveys, and merit increase processes.
- Help with government reporting data collection and preparation, including EEO-1 and VETS 4212 compliance.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and labor law postings.
- Assist with employee recognition programs, newsletters, and internal communications.
- Provide support for company events, including recruiting events, career expos, and community relations initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree program.
- Strong organizational skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
