Appian Intern (Paid Internship)

About the role#

Horizon Industries is offering a four-week paid internship focused on Appian low-code application development. This program is designed to build technical and professional skills through a combination of instructor-led training and hands-on project work. Successful completion of the program may lead to an offer of full-time employment as an Appian Consultant.

What you'll do#

• Learn the fundamentals of Appian low-code application development and business process automation.
• Assist in building Appian applications, workflows, interfaces, reports, and business processes.
• Participate in application testing, quality assurance, and defect resolution activities.
• Support the integration and configuration of Appian applications with enterprise systems.
• Research Appian best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
• Create technical documentation and assist in troubleshooting application issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, team meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and familiarity with languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or SQL.

• Location: Remote or Hybrid (Washington, DC Metro Area preferred).
• Duration: 4 weeks.
• Compensation: $20 per hour (40 hours per week).
• Employment type: Full-time.
