About the role#
HOLT CAT is seeking a Service Intern at the Power Systems Division facility in Corpus Christi, Texas. This entry-level position is designed for students to develop an understanding of diesel technology and department operations under the guidance of the Service Manager.
What you'll do#
- Adjust, maintain, and repair equipment and machine components.
- Perform maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating machines.
- Install, repair, and replace mechanical and electronic components.
- Examine and test equipment and parts to ensure proper functioning.
- Connect or disconnect wiring, piping, and tubing using hand or power tools.
- Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
- Engage in self-development and receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from Service Leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a College or Technical School studying Diesel Technology, Ag Mechanics, or a similar program.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Proficiency in time management and organizational tasks.
- Ability to perform basic math and understand written work instructions.
- Physical ability to move equipment weighing up to 35 lbs, climb ladders or stairs, and maintain manual dexterity.
