Service Intern- College

About the role#

HOLT CAT is seeking a Service Intern at the Power Systems Division facility in Corpus Christi, Texas. This entry-level position is designed for students to develop an understanding of diesel technology and department operations under the guidance of the Service Manager.

What you'll do#

• Adjust, maintain, and repair equipment and machine components.
• Perform maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating machines.
• Install, repair, and replace mechanical and electronic components.
• Examine and test equipment and parts to ensure proper functioning.
• Connect or disconnect wiring, piping, and tubing using hand or power tools.
• Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
• Engage in self-development and receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from Service Leadership.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a College or Technical School studying Diesel Technology, Ag Mechanics, or a similar program.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in time management and organizational tasks.
• Ability to perform basic math and understand written work instructions.
• Physical ability to move equipment weighing up to 35 lbs, climb ladders or stairs, and maintain manual dexterity.
