The Community Land Trust & Development Intern will support the development team through all stages of social purpose real estate projects. This role involves working collaboratively with project stakeholders to advance inclusive housing and community initiatives. We are hiring for two positions for an eight-week term.
What you'll do#
- Support project planning and administration for community initiatives.
- Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and document management.
- Coordinate meetings, record minutes, and manage follow-up tasks.
- Prepare presentations and reports for diverse audiences.
- Contribute to improving organizational systems and templates.
- Support the leadership and development team with day-to-day initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program related to urban studies and planning, community development, social sciences, business, nonprofit management, or communications.
- Experience in property management.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, and collaborative digital tools.
- A curious, adaptable, and eager-to-learn mindset.
- Preference is given to youth facing barriers to employment, including Black youth, youth in official language minority communities, and 2SLGBTQI+ youth.
