Marketing & Publicity Intern

About the role#

The Marketing & Publicity Intern will join the HarperCollins Canada team to support the sales, distribution, and promotion of titles. This role offers exposure to the full publishing process, including opportunities for mentorship and cross-departmental collaboration. You will work under the guidance of the Publicity Assistant and the Retail Marketing and Publicity Assistant.

What you'll do#

• Attend weekly marketing and publicity meetings.
• Contribute to marketing campaigns and participate in brainstorm and planning sessions.
• Support content creation across various social media channels.
• Assist with influencer mailings, media campaign pitches, and regular publicity tasks.
• Perform administrative duties as required.

What you'll need#

• Completion of a university or college education, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Retail or selling experience is considered an asset.
• Must be eligible to work and be paid in Canada.

• Term: Summer 2026 (6-month contract).
• Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid model).
• Status: Full-time, paid position at $20 per hour.
