The EndPoint Technician Intern supports the Office of Technology & Information Services by performing hardware maintenance, repairs, and technical support. This position involves applying technical knowledge of electronics and networking to ensure the reliability of endpoint systems across the district.
What you'll do#
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve hardware and communications problems on endpoint systems and connected peripherals.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot failures related to system hardware, software, audio/video, and communications.
- Evaluate existing hardware, perform system upgrades, and resolve configuration conflicts.
- Perform other related duties of similar scope and complexity as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Knowledge of endpoint hardware and wired/wireless networking using TCP/IP.
- Ability to apply electronics principles to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with diverse users.
- Strong organizational skills to manage day-to-day priorities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to perform essential functions, including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders over 15 feet.

- Location: Harford, Maryland.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour (non-benefitted).
- Availability: Summer 2026, Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Summer 2027.
- Education focus: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Business Administration.
