The Hamilton Zanze Wheel Program is a twelve-month, full-time rotational internship designed to provide hands-on exposure to real estate investment and asset management. Interns rotate through five departments—Transactions, Asset Management and Project & Risk Management, Data Analysis, Investor Relations, and Accounting & Finance—to gain a comprehensive understanding of the firm's operations and investment strategy. The program includes project-based work, mentorship, and structured learning, concluding with a performance review and discussion regarding potential full-time opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Underwrite new deals and conduct market research across target markets.
- Review monthly financials and compare budgeted versus actual performance.
- Assist with outbound investor communication regarding vesting, distributions, and transaction updates.
- Process entity-level changes such as investor transfers, trust assignments, and resale share transactions.
- Support data management and research projects across the portfolio.
- Utilize tools including Excel, SQL, Python, and Tableau for analytical projects.
- Participate in capital expenditure coordination and property-level oversight.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business, economics, communications, or a related field.
- A genuine interest in real estate investment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with an interest in financial modeling.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

- Location: San Francisco, California.
- Program Duration: September 1, 2026 – August 31, 2027.
- Compensation: $34.00 per hour.
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
