H3X is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to support the low-volume production line across all HPDM product lines. This role involves significant responsibility, requiring a self-motivated individual to contribute to the rapid deployment of new processes and improvements. You will be expected to manage assigned parts and support production scaling during the Fall 2026 semester for a minimum of 12 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with design engineers to establish production requirements.
- Conceptualize novel approaches to solve manufacturing challenges.
- Design tools and fixtures to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Analyze recurring manufacturing discrepancies and implement effective solutions.
- Lead LEAN manufacturing initiatives to support continuous improvement.
- Create, implement, and revise process plans and manufacturing bills of materials (mBOMs).
- Execute testing and validation of new fixtures and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical system assembly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A results-driven, action-oriented approach to engineering.
