The Program Coordinator for Student Affairs provides leadership and strategic oversight for student engagement, leadership development, and campus traditions. Reporting to the Dean of Students, this role is essential in fostering student success, belonging, and community engagement. You will collaborate with campus partners to create a vibrant co-curricular experience that supports student development, retention, and institutional goals.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate the planning, implementation, and assessment of New Student Orientation, transfer student transition programs, and Week of Welcome initiatives.
- Provide leadership and oversight for Living-Learning Communities (LLCs) and other themed residential engagement initiatives.
- Develop and implement leadership training opportunities designed to promote student growth, civic engagement, and community responsibility.
- Support educational sanctioning practices that promote student learning, accountability, and personal development.
- Collaborate with campus partners, including Residential Education, Public Safety, and Academic Affairs, to enhance the student experience.
- Oversee the recognition, support, and training of student organizations and student leaders.
- Develop assessment plans for Student Life programs and utilize data to improve student engagement and retention efforts.
- Serve on institutional committees and represent the Student Affairs Division at campus events.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in student affairs, student engagement, residence life, orientation, or leadership development.
- Demonstrated experience working with student organizations, leadership programs, and campus-wide initiatives.
- Experience supervising professional and student staff.
- Strong communication, organizational, assessment, and project management skills.
