The 2027 Investment Banking Analyst position is based in the Houston office within the Energy, Power, and Energy Transition team. Analysts serve as integral members of deal teams, working on strategic advisory and financing transactions. This role offers exposure to senior bankers and client representatives while providing experience across the upstream, midstream, downstream, and clean energy sectors.
What you'll do#
- Support deal teams by developing, maintaining, and utilizing financial models.
- Perform financial and valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow, multiple valuation, precedent transaction, and net asset valuation.
- Conduct company and industry research to understand sector trends and client challenges.
- Prepare client presentations and interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and accountants.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of investment banking products and services, including debt, equity, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring.
What you'll need#
- On track to receive a Bachelor’s degree in December 2026 or Spring 2027, preferably in Finance or Economics.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to take accountability and ownership of work product.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- Strong interest in problem solving, client service, and the energy, power, or energy transition sectors.

- Compensation: Annual base salary of $110,000.
