Polysomnography Student | Full Time

About the role#

Gritman Medical Center is seeking a Polysomnography Student for a full-time, on-site position in Moscow, Idaho. This role involves working with patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The position requires a high degree of fine motor skills for patient hook-ups and involves significant computer use.

What you'll do#

• Perform and score out-of-center sleep studies during the day shift.
• Score sleep studies from the previous night.
• Perform Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT) and overnight oximetry.
• Instruct patients on device usage, download device data, and submit reports to ordering physicians.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and quality improvement activities.
• Represent the organization professionally while handling confidential information and maintaining a clean, quiet environment.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in the AASM A-Step Program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform and score sleep studies.
• Ability to instruct patients on equipment usage and comply with hospital protocols.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.
