About the role#
Greenberg Traurig, LLP offers a structured, non-credit internship program in partnership with Clayton State University. This program provides hands-on experience in a legal environment through three distinct tracks: Pre-Law, Paralegal Studies, and Legal Operations. Interns are placed in a track based on their individual interests and academic background.
What you'll do#
- Provide support to litigation attorneys and paralegals on active matters.
- Shadow attorneys to observe client meetings, depositions, and hearings.
- Assist with basic legal research tasks and draft correspondence.
- Organize and maintain case files in both electronic and hard copy formats.
- Assist in preparing court binders and tracking court appearances.
- Gain knowledge across multiple operational departments, including Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, and Office Management.
- Contribute to department-specific projects and process improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled at Clayton State University as a rising junior or senior.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications.
- Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanor.
